What is Refugees United?
We are an organisation that offers a safe, secure and anonymous way to find family and friends that you have lost contact with. This service is FREE of charge.
Using our search tool, you are able to look for missing friends and family, even though you are far from home. At the same time you make it possible for them to find you.

In order to create a profile, you need to have an e-mail address or a mobile phone. We need this information, so we can notify you if you are contacted by other users of the search tool.

If you do not have a mobile phone or an e-mail, it is still possible to create a profile. But please beware that you will then have to check the system for new messages yourself.

In order to make it easy for your family and friends to find you, please enter your name and possible nicknames.

If you have more than one nickname, simply separate all names with a space.It is a good idea to enter nicknames (if you have any). This way, it is easier for your family and friends to identify you when they make a search.
If someone finds you in a search, these names will be shown to them. Use nicknames or information only known by your family and friends.

USERNAME
Choose a username that is unique, yet easy for you to remember. It may contain both numbers and letters. Your username will NOT be visible on your public profile.
PASSWORD
In order to prevent others from accessing your profile, create a password that no one else can guess. It is a good idea to use both numbers and letters. Your password will NOT be visible on your public profile.
REMEMBER
It is very important to memorise your username and password, so you are able to sign in to your profile in the future.

If your profile is listed as less than 100% complete, it is because you chose not to enter all types of information when creating your profile. Having a 100% complete profile increases your chances of being found by family and friends in a search.
